3/4 cup flour
3/8 cup sugar
1/4 cup unsalted butter, softened
1/3 cup milk at room temperature
1 tsp. vanilla
1/4 tsp. baking powder
1/8 tsp. salt
preheat oven to 350º F. mix all of the ingredients together and pour into a greased cupcake tin or cupcake liners until each tin is about 3/4 full. bake for 15-25 minutes, until a toothpick inserted into the center comes out clean. let cupcakes cool, at least 10-15 minutes before frosting.
1 1/2 cups powdered sugar
1/2 cup butter
1-2 tbsp. whipping cream
1/2 tsp. vanilla
18 small strawberries (or one for each cupcake), washed and with the tops cut off
combine all ingredients with a hand mixer, adding whipping cream until it reaches desired consistency. frost cupcakes and plop a strawberry on top of each one. even though each one is only a mouthful, try not to eat them all at once!
